Kanye West's first ever solo VIBE cover "I AM RAP". Kanye is the official face of VIBE Magazines February edition. I must say Kanye is a very interesting choice for the Valentines issue. With his Hit album "808's & Heartbreak" being one of the most brilliant/depressing albums of the year, I'm thinking they're not going for the romantic approach this year.
Here's a few snippets of what you can expect from the interview: “I haven’t done anything violent. They make it seem like I actually went and hit the paparazzi. I haven’t. I was restrained. I’m good at restraining myself from committing violent acts."
“I made a decision. I wanna make popular music, but I want less fans. I want the freedom of having less fans."
"I definitely feel like, in the next however many years, if I work out for two months, that I’ll pose naked. I break every rule and mentality of hip-hop, of black culture, of American culture.”
When Mich'el 1st showed this to me i couldn't believe what i was seeing. My immediate reaction was shock, then came the infectious laughter, as soon as T-Baby began 'singing' the hook, i fell straight to the floor. I'm not actually sure what the worse thing about it is, it's a combination of the: cheap, home made video, the awful production of the beat, the mono-tone droning of T-Baby throughout the song, the fact that she misses the beat on the 2nd & 3rd chorus, Her Hair, LOL. The list is endless, but i think the winner has to be her backing dancers, (the one on the right seems to be giving it her all).

This is T-pain's 3rd video 'Freeze' from his new album Thr33 Ringz, this one features the very energetic & multi talented Chris Brown. T-pain teamed up with the Robot directing team Syndrome to create this visionary fusion of art, music & dance. Syndrome's primary focus and theme is merging science with soul, manipulating technology for the sake of creative growth and artistic expression. Syndrome were responsible for T-pain's previous video's, Can't believe it & Chopped & Screwed, which i must say are amazing videos. These videos seem to share significant similarities, but at the same time displays individual qualities that set them apart from each other.
I am a very big fan of Syndrome, their evolutionary style has taken music videos to another level, I'm sure we'll be seeing alot more of their work throughout the year.
I'm not sure about you guys/girls, but i can't wait to see what 2009 will bring. Does anyone have any new years resolutions? If so, message them to me and i will post my top 5 favorites.
I luv this chick, she is very underrated if you ask me, she should have blown up by now. I first saw VV perform live in Carnival this year, I remember she came on just before my boi Mich'el Pierre. As soon as she stepped onto the stage she demanded the audiences full attention. Her songs were like no other, a comfortable blend of 60's pop/rnb/new wave electro & funk. She displayed such stage presence, charisma & individuality, i remember taking down her myspace and looking her up as soon as i got home. She's definitely what the UK is missing. Look out for VV Brown Peeps.....
J*Davey - No more (Live) J*Davey are an amazing new duo, made up of female vocalist Jack Davey & male producer Brook D'Leau. There sound can be described as a combination of alternative hip hop, alternative rock, soul, electronica, fusion, jazz, punk, funk, new wave and R&B futurists.
I'm a huge fan of this group. The music is visionary & their style is impeccable and with hits such as 'No more' & 'Mr Mister' i just know there gonna blow up very soon, just remember where you heard them first.
Janelle Monae - Many moons One of the greatest additions to the Bad Boy family if you ask me. Janelle Monae is Creative, Stylish, Ingenious & i must say an amazingly enthusiastic performer. Her style is like no other, with her smooth harmonic tone, and wacky unhinged exterior, she is definitely some one to look out for in 2009.
Some Fashion 4 ya asssss.... Louis Vuitton creative director Marc Jacobs has collaborated with American fashion pioneer Stephen Sprouse, for a new 2009 lineup. This is wat i call INNOVATION....
N.E.R.D - Sooner or later I luv dis track, da Video is so relevant to the worlds current situaion. I'm not sure bout u, but Credit Crunch has hit me Hard LOL.
Master Shortie - Dead End I'm feelin dis tune, da flows on point, da beats Insane. Master Shorie's Swagger is always 100%, nuff said!!!!
Chipmunk ft Loick Essien - Beast. Gotta admit, i'm not the biggest Chipmunk fan, but this tune right here is Fire. Loick Kills it on the hook. (Gotta big up my boi Mich'el, for bringing me on this tune) Director Mo did and excellent job on the video, it's visiually astonishing.
Alesha Dixon - Breathe Slow. All i have to say is 'it's about time Alesha'. I was waiting for her to come wid something that complemented her voice, this tune is crazy. I'm also feeling the message in the song, not sure if it's an official dis to Harvey, but good on her anyways. Must add she looks Amazing in this vid aswell.
My girl Chelsea Latley is back, I think she has a thing for ATL Rappers, cause this time she's interviewing Ludacris. I must say she doesn't hold back at all, but i love her humour. Especially with her witty banter & sexual innuendo's, she always keeps me on edge. I can't wait for this girl to blow up...
